Rachana Mistry the talented actress is playing her part really well in Barrister Babu the popular Colors show. She’s not seen as the regular ‘bahu’ in the show, owing to the patriotic fervor that her character has.
Says Rachana, “Playing Manorama is challenging and fun. The script has been very demanding and I am getting to do different things every day. I am glad that I got to do the krantikari angle in the show. I love that track more. My fan pages are actually making this journey a memorable one.”
Rachana can see a huge fan following for Bondita and Anirudh. “The loving fans of this Jodi do not want to think about the fact that Anirudh can fall in love. Only a smaller section of fans are able to realize that Anirudh is young in age, and can have feelings of love in him. However, I get a lot of messages bombarding me for coming in between Bondita and Anirudh.”
“I got to go live with my fans recently and that was when many got to see my real side. I loved the interaction. As for Manorama, they will hate her in the show. But there is an interest for Manorama’s character, and I am taking this in a positive way.”
Talking about the perspective change in the track, Rachana explains, “Till now, all were seeing the show from Bondita’s perspective. But now, with Anirudh’s feelings put into the display, there is a small tilt wherein his likes and desires are also shown. Anirudh sees Bondita as a responsibility and he wants her to achieve her goals. However, Anirudh’s expectations from life should also be visualized. So when Manorama comes into his life, he falls for her. Manorama has literally shown the different side of Anirudh to the audience. They are not liking it as they do not want Anirudh to part from Bondita (smiles).”
Rachana loves the character of Manorama. “The strong and fierce girl that Manorama is, pleases me to enact it. I love my krantikari look in the show all the more. I get into a new vibe when I wear that attire.”
Rachana loves to be in the company of Pravisht and Aurra. “It is a different level of fun on the set. I am blessed to be working with the best team. From the cast to the creative team to the crew, we work together as one team. Aurra is very sweet. She is a very intelligent child. I bonded well with all on set. I received such a warm welcome.”
On Anirudh and Manorama’s chemistry, she states, “Manorama is the kind of girl Anirudh has dreamt of. He has fallen for her bravery. So the chemistry between them, if it is coming out well, I am very happy. It has been made very subtle as it should not come out so much in the open.”
Talking about the future track, Rachana avers, “Once the goal of Manorama comes to the fore, it will be a different ball game. Let’s see what happens.”
