Many married men relate to my character of Aditya: Ssudeep Sahir

In conversation with talented Ssudeep…

Ssudeep Sahir is quite happy playing the tortured husband in Zee TV show Woh Apna Sa.

“It is interesting for the story has lot of complex layers. Normally men don’t get much to do on TV but here I am, the story began with my character Aditya being forced into a wrong marriage by family.  Later, another woman walks (Disha Parmar) into his life but he is unsure about committing as he is already married. The current track focuses on his mother, she is not dead but he can reveal it as she is in   his evil wife Nisha’s (Ridhi Dogra) custody. He also has to behave differently with his family for he needs to save his mother’s life,” shares Ssudeep with IndianWikiMedia.

Here Ssudeep, who is happily married adds, “Unfortunately, many married men are going through what my character endures in real life. I have got mails saying we go through same torture.  It is quite sad to read such stories.”

So will his character move out of his marriage? “That is for the writer to decide but yes, they have crafted the story in such a way that the public does sympathize with Aditya and will support him if he does pull the plug on the wedlock,” he says.

Ssudeep, who has been around TV for many years, is getting better with every show. “Learning is a never ending process and I feel I still have a long way to go.  The ball game changed for me with Jabb Love Hua for I had replaced other actor’s in my two previous shows i.e.  Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr and Ayushmaan respectively. And the former Zee TV show had me as main lead from the start.”

Looking ahead, Ssudeep is open to digital shows as well, “In digital we have lots of freedom to say the stories we want.  Having said that I don’t think digital will overtake broadcast which has its own dedicated set of female audiences.  I don’t think my mom, mother in law or servant will watch web series which are more youth specific.  Both the mediums will flourish and I being an actor will want to be a part of both,” he ends.

We wish him all the luck and success.
