TV superstar Divyanka Tripathi, who had taken to social media to encourage fellow Indians, especially folks in her home state of Madhya Pradesh, to vote en mass in the just concluded general elections, now has the following wish list for the new govt on behalf of the actors’ frat.
“I would appreciate it if we get time leverage for paying GST, as we get delayed payments from all ends.
“There should be better tax benefits on commodities that may be luxury for others but are tools of our trade, like expenses on cosmetics, clothes, accessories, skin and hair treatments, health meals, etc., which we consume in bulk, unlike lay public.”
Earlier Divyanka, who will soon be seen in a web series had expressed satisfaction via Twitter, about the rise in polling percentage in MP.
Divyanka, who had also recently anchored Voice India, was quite sanguine when fans praised above efforts. She continues to impress with her superb performance in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
It is good to note that actors are finally shedding their reluctance about talking political shop. As Indians, they too have full right to either support the govt of the day or the opposition or simply, as Divyanka did, by listing their wish list.
Hope the new finance minister, whoever he or she will be, takes action on Divyanka’s request in the next budget.
We are sure many other TV actors would concur with her worldview.
