Chocolate boy Param Singh, who rose to fame with Sadda Haq, has proved his versatility as an actor in shows like Ghulaam and Haiwan- The Monster. The young lad is currently seen playing the lead role of Ahaan in Sony Entertainment Television’s latest offering Ishk Par Zor Nahi.
The show is a new-age young love story revolving around two individuals ‘Ahaan’ and ‘Ishqi’ who have polarizing views on love and marriage. Based in urban Delhi, both Ahaan and Ishqi are independent and fiercely opinionated individuals.
Sharing more about Ahaan, Param mentions, “When I was offered the show, I went through the character and I really liked it. The role has a lot of layers. As we say, nobody is perfect, Ahaan is also the same. I don’t want to play a character which about a perfect man. I wanted to work with 4 Lions Productions and Sony TV, who are known to make organic shows. As an actor, I don’t expect anything from the project. I just expect to work hard and be honest with my work. Now, it is up to god and fans.”
When asked about his take on marriage, Param shares, “At the moment, I don’t want to get married. I don’t know maybe 40, 45, or 50, I might but not now. Keeping aside caste, gender, religion, everyone has a right to choose whatever they want to do. I have no problem with my partner being anything, it’s up to her. I would say that respect, love, and care should always be there. I and my character are poles apart. I am not that traditional like Ahaan and I am also not obsessed with the fact that a girl should be a housewife after marriage. ”
Commenting about his co-stars, he adds, “It has been fun to work with the amazing bunch of people on the set. Akshita is a young girl who is very energetic. She is also a little kiddish so it’s fun to have a nice and peaceful environment on set. She also serious when it comes to her job. Akshita is also good at understanding the emotional arc of her scene and character.”
Good luck Param!
