Avinash Mukherjee, who rose to fame with Balika Vadhu, has entertained masses in shows like Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki and Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. The actor is now all set to be a part of Colors’ show Sasural Simar Ka 2. He plays the lead role of Aarav. The show focuses on the story of Choti Simar (played by Radhika Muthukumar), who aspires to become a singer and struggles to achieve her dreams.
Talking about the show, Avinash shares, “Sasural Simar Ka is a super hit show and audiences loved the daily. My character Aarav in season 2 is Geetanjali Devi’s (Jayati Bhatia) grandson, who is a very balanced young man and a role which will soon become close to audiences’ hearts. As it is season 2, we are working hard to give double drama and entertainment to the viewers.”
So any pressure to live up to the expectations in terms of matching season 1’s popularity? Avinash tells with a smile, “Well, I believe any response is a good response. Even if there are mixed responses; it would mean people are still talking about the show. As long as the daily is creating buzz, it is good. It is our responsibility to serve what people like. Our motive is to connect with the audiences and entertain them.”
While signing off, Avinash mentions: “I have been fortunate enough to work with the cast. We have been seeing Jayati ji work for quite some time now and she is a phenomenal actress. We all have got an opportunity to work with her. Jayati is with us in season 2 to guide us during the journey.”
