Nimki Mukhiya’s Babloo, Abhishek Sharma is a happy man, having married his lady love Apeksha Dandekar on 9 February.
It was ‘music’ that connected them when Abhishek was bowled over by her voice when he heard it for the first time. Apeksha is the sister of Shibani Dandekar.
Says Abhishek, “We used to stay in the same building and that is when I heard her voice. I knew her room mate and this is how we got introduced to each other. And now, after four years of dating and knowing each other, we are married (smiles).”
Abhishek is immensely in love with Apeksha’s voice. “Apeksha is a great singer. I have a passion for music and that is what binds us.”
Abhishek and Apeksha are romantics at heart, and he would like to dedicate the song ‘Pehla Nasha’ for her. “The song that binds the both of us is her song ‘Peekaboo’.”
Abhishek is still in Delhi and will get back to Mumbai on the night of 14 February. “Honeymoon will have to wait as I need to get back for the shoot of my Star Bharat show, Nimki Mukhiya. I have already taken an off of 10 days. We will get going on our trip in June or July this year.”
Ask him about his Valentine’s surprise for his wifey and he is quick to say, “Well, she has not seen the city of Delhi. So I plan to take her out on the day for a romantic lunch. I have organized a music session at the lunch place. Post that, I will take her around places in Delhi. We will be getting back to Mumbai the same night. So it will be a sweet and simple celebration of our togetherness.”
