Deepak Wadhwa the talented actor who has been part of TV shows Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein, Qubool Hai, Naagin 3 is all excited about his upcoming role in the Sony Entertainment Television cult show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 starring Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes. The show is produced by Beyond Dreams.
Says Deepak, “I have come in as Sonakshi’s best friend and business partner. My character Aditya will be the guiding force for Sonakshi as she faces her marital turmoils. Aditya is trying to make her marriage work for Sonakshi. So people will appreciate Aditya for his wholehearted approach.”
Ask him if he will have a love angle too anytime with Sonakshi, and Deepak is quick to say, “No, there will be nothing brewing between them. It will be sheer friendship. My scenes have been with Erica Fernandes. It is great working with her. Otherwise, I got to meet all in the cast at Siliguri.”
Deepak has been away from television for a while. “Honestly, I do not feel that it has been a while. The pandemic has indeed caused a few restrictions. Basically, to be honest, I was apprehensive of taking work amid the pandemic crisis. I have said no to a lot of work that came my way.”
“We have been at home mostly. We have been careful, but have had few trips to Goa and Delhi keeping in mind all precautions,” Deepak avers.
The pandemic situation has, in fact, brought out the avid reader in Deepak. “I have always loved to read. So I have been studying and adding to my knowledge during this stay-at-home phase. I have read a lot about the stock market, management etc. It is always good to be aware of your own surroundings. I have also started planning my business too.”
Ask him what ultimately pushed him to pick up Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. “It was a good role. Kuch Rang is a very popular show. When I got the offer, the second wave was also starting to taper down. I had got my first dose of vaccination done and for my family members too. So I had to get out and work. As an actor, you miss the shoot ambiance and there is a constant zeal to do something new.”
The shoot schedule of Kuch Rang happened in Siliguri, which was a blessing in disguise. “Honestly, I had the best experience. Since the bio bubble was created, we were at liberty to live without a mask. It really felt like I was living in pre-Covid times. It was a relief that we all had wherein we lead a normal life. Now, we are back shooting in Mumbai.”
