Shrutika Arjun Raaj who started her acting career quite early in age, made a comeback with the reality show Cooku with Comali. The South Indian Tamil-speaking actress has her Punjabi roots firmly fixed as her mother is a Punjabi, and is a great fan of Bigg Boss as a show. Now, Shrutika has entered the Bigg Boss house and is one of the contestants of Colors’ reality show Bigg Boss 18.
Before she entered the house, Shrutika talked about her life, career and her big comeback with Bigg Boss.
Talking about her early beginning as an actor and later, returning to find better glory, Shrutika recalled her career saying, “I am excited and confused as I enter the Bigg Boss house. But I have to say that I am not nervous. I have done a couple of movies in Tamil when I was a school kid. They were horrible and I had no grooming of myself. Later, I completed my education; I am a University rank holder. After many years, there was an interview that came out in Behindwoods where I was in my own skin. That took off instantly and there was a huge inclination on social media. I got back with the culinary show Cooku with Comali. It gave me so much of love. Now, to see me entering Bigg Boss makes me happy.”
Her adulation for host Salman Khan cannot be described in words. “My mum is a Punjabi and my love for Salman Khan is unexplainable. This is why I wanted to take up this show and get ‘gaaliyan’ from him at every moment.”
When asked how she would react when she would be talking to Salman Khan, she reacted by saying, “I am not even preparing for my meet up with him. I will definitely not talk, I will remain silent, is what I believe. It was not even in my wildest dreams that I ever thought I would meet Salman Khan. I thought my career was over when I was in school. To make a comeback in Tamil is in itself a journey for me. And to make it to Bigg Boss is a big feeling for me. My mother is a big fan of Bigg Boss.”
Shrutika’s game plan will be like this. “I want to be myself inside the house, as lively as I always am. I can’t fake it as they will know about it. I have high levels of tolerance. Only when it comes to self-respect, do I get triggered. I cry loudly when things go wrong before me.”
The actress talked about the situations where she can be put off. “When people don’t respect, it is a complete put-off for me. I respect people a lot, and cannot digest disrespect of any level.”
Shrutika is a very hyperactive person and was worried about keeping herself engaged throughout her stay in the house. “I am good at house tasks, and I can keep myself engaged by being busy.”
Shrutika received valuable tips from her husband Arjun. “Arjun has advised me the most. He is my support system, I don’t know how I am going to survive without him. I don’t mind saying this, that I am a happily dependent person on him emotionally too. He told me to be myself and react to situations normally. I am going with the flow.”
