My USP in hosting is my energy: Karanvir Bohra

Time to see your favourite Karanvir Bohra back!

The handsome hunk, who is also a proud father to twin daughters, is all set to take the audience by storm as he has added another feather to his cap.

Karanvir, will debut on the small screen as an anchor for Zee TV’s upcoming reality show India’s Best Judwaah.

In conversation with Indianwikimedia, Naagin 2 fame actor spoke about his new challenges, daughters and more…

Talking about anchoring for India’s Best Judwaah, he said, “This is a great show in terms of learning. I now understand my daughters’ similarities and the differences. It is easy to understand these 11 jodis too. It is a good learning process for me. I have found respect for all my anchor friends. I have hosted award shows but a show of this stature and level is grandeur. It is needs physical endurance, energy, spontaneity and flair. I now understand that whatever Manish Paul or Kapil Sharma do, is not easy but I love this job.”

When asked what kind of anchor is he, Karanvir averred, “In hosting, I have realized one thing that my USP is my energy. The most important thing I have realized is that a host has to be energetic because that is what exudes on screen. Since birth, I am very energetic. People have always seen me doing these brooding and intense kinds of roles, but in this show I need to be contestants’ friend. I am the only one who is navigating the show. I don’t believe in gags which include insult to any person. I am funny but not this kind.”

Karanvir believes that his daughters are his lucky charm.

“My daughters are the lucky charm for me. They were born on Diwali last year so they are like the Goddesses Laxmi and Saraswati. And we will be cutting a promo for the show with my daughters. However, I still don’t believe I am a dad. Teejay and me, we just feel that we are responsible for the babies but they are not our babies. I feel they are given to us so that we can temporarily take care of them. We are very responsible but we can’t believe that we are parents.”

He further added, “I am a strict father but their puppy face changes me also. But I think when they grow up I will not consider their puppy faces.”

As we know both his daughters’ names are very unique. When we asked Karanvir about the selection of their names, he quipped, “We both wanted global names. We were thinking about it. For two months we used to call them baby A and Baby B. As they were born during Diwali, I wanted them to have that Laxmi and Saraswati feel in them. So Raya means Laxmi in Sanskrit and Vienna comes from Veena that is Saraswati’s instrument. In Greek mythology Raya also means the light descending from heaven and Vienna means the chosen one. Teejay likes Bella which means beautiful so it is Raya Bella and Vienna.

Finally, Karanvir said that he is not at all content as an actor and he feels that an actor cannot be content. He also mentioned that he wants to do more anchoring projects on TV.

We wish Karanvir good luck for his new journey!
