Mythological characters attract me a lot: Gungun Uprari

Gungun Uprari who will be seen in Ishara’s Paapnaashini Ganga talks of her love for mythological roles.

Gungun Uprari the talented actress was last seen impressing one and all with her portrayal of Yashoda in &TV’s long-running show Paramavatar Shri Krishna.

Gungun is now back with the new channel Ishara. She will be part of the cast of Ishara’s show Paapnaashini Ganga which has Ashi Singh and Aakriti Sharma in the lead role.

This will be another mythological role for Gungun.

Says Gungun, “Yes, I am back to mythological concepts again. My last show was also a mytho, Paramavatar Shri Krishn. I am glad to be part of the cast of Paapnaashini Ganga. Mythological characters I guess attract me more.”

Gungun has been part of shows Buddha, Devon Ke Dev.. Mahadev, Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakantha.

“This is a new channel. So the expectations are really high. The channel has a very good mix of shows of varied genres. I am looking forward to my show and this stint.”

‘I will play the mother of Ganga in Paapnaashini Ganga. I will be working with Peninsula Pictures with the show. I know most of them very well, and it is a very good working ambiance.”
