Amandeep Sidhu, the young and talented beauty, who has entertained masses in the TV show Tantra, is back on screen. The actress who is playing a lead for the first time as Mahi in ZEE TV’s latest offering Teri Meri Ikk Jindri, takes it as an opportunity rather than responsibility. “I am glad that my team, director and producer showed faith in me and handed over this opportunity to me to be Mahi. This girl is different from others and Mahi’s character is helping me to learn new things every day. I am thrilled and it feels like a dream. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better character than Mahi to essay as my first lead role. Mahi is bold, independent and loveable.”
When asked about challenges while playing the role, she adds, “You get into someone’s skin by portraying a character, so it’s challenging. I took time to understand Mahi’s characteristics. Both Mahi, my character, and I are family-oriented. Both of us believe in being independent as well. Driving a car and riding the bullet was a challenge. However, once I had the hang of it, it was fun.”
Commenting about her bond with co-star Adhvik Mahajan, she shares, “I would call myself the luckiest girl. He is the perfect Jogi, Mahi can get. As an actor, he is the best. It was my first show as lead and I was nervous but he was a guiding angel and helped me a lot. He has been a very supportive co-star.”
