I am never scared of being off work: Varun Kapoor

Varun Kapoor on his stints in Swarigini, Savitri Devi and more…

TV’s chocolate boy Varun Kapoor became every girl’s crush when he first appeared on Sony’s Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai. Furthermore, his charm and sparkling smile in Swaragini made his female fans go weak in their knees. The actor is currently enthralling audience as Veer Malhotra in Colors’ Savitri Devi College and Hospital.

Talking about his journey in Savitri Devi, he says, “It is very different for me. It is a youth show and not entirely a saas-bahu saga. It is completely unique from Swaragini as that was a family drama.”

Varun believes one cannot compare Swaragini and Savitri Devi. “You cannot compare Swaragini and Savitri Devi as both are quite different from each other. Swaragini had a prime time slot which helped majorly in ratings game. Now, Savitri has 6.30pm slot which is new for the audience hence it will take time to pick up.”

He adds, “It is a challenge for me to make this character as popular as Sanskaar. We have a new timeslot which is 6.30. The reach of audience watching the drama is less. We are a best team and working hard to bring up the same.”

On an end note Varun says he is not scared of being off work, “I am a very positive person and not scared of being off work. One or the other day, you will be off work in life and a new chapter will start. I believe a person should look up to new opportunities in life.”

Well said Varun.
