Ridhima Pandit, who has reached the finale of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, is very happy with her journey so far. “I never thought I could reach so far. Hope I win this Sunday.”
“I had never got an opportunity before to sleep with lizards and snakes etc.; so my self-worth has gone up several notches. The toughest stunts to perform were definitely the water ones, for the weather in Argentina was very harsh (quite cold). The electricity dares were no better.”
After Khatron Ke Khiladi, she will join some KKK contestants in a Bharati Singh-produced prank show, Khatra Khatra Khatra, for Colors.
“This takes me back to my childhood when I would love watching Bakra. One question would always trouble me – what if someone clips Cryus Broacha for his stunt? I avoided troubling others due to the same fear.”
“But here all is fine, for we all have signed up for some fun. It is really hilarious to give funny instructions to the one in the dock; but then the tide can turn when your time comes.”
“They made me act out all weird characters. I was asked to throw tantrums, something that I never do. They also made someone my boyfriend. I was virtually in tears, saying guys, give me a break.”
“The stunts here, that the losing contestant has to perform, are more funny than dangerous though,” added she.
Ridhima is one lucky gal in the sense that unlike most TV actresses, she has graduated to reality shows (has hosted Dance Champions and was also a part of The Drama Company) after just one fiction outing. “Yes, others have had to do many more; I think I was lucky to have Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant as my debut. This does not mean that I will not do more fiction. I’m just waiting for the right project.”
Apart from TV, this former celeb manager-turned-actor has also done a lead role in web, courtesy, Alt Balaji’s Hum – I’m Because of Us. “Whatever Ekta Kapoor does is perfect.”
In closing, Ridhima says that there is great camaraderie among all the contestants (Aly Goni, Harsh Limbachiyaa and Aditya Narayan). “We get along like a house on fire, taking our Latin American friendship further. I would now want to develop better equations with our writers, who have worked very hard.”
P.S. Bharati had joked at the launch press conference that one of the writers is smitten by Ridhima.
