I have no issue showing my grey hair as I am confident about myself – Mihir Mishra

Mihir Mishra talks about his negative role in a different look in Colors’ show, Ishq Mein Marjawan.

Normally we are used to watching veteran actor Mihir Mishra essay positive characters, but this time he impresses one and all with his badass character in Colors’ show Ishq Mein Marjawan (Beyond Dreams).

Says Mihir, “It is fun to play negative as you get to play with different shades which is not the case with positive characters.”

“It is very difficult to describe Prithvi Raichand as you don’t know what stunt he will pull next. But yes, he is very loyal to his employer. People are enjoying it for first he began as a cool and coy father before he started playing his games,” states the actor.

Mihir began his TV journey years back with Sanjeevni and since then has not looked behind. He has done series of hit shows like Kumkum, S aat Phere and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai etc.

“This is not my first tryst with the negative, I had played one in Jane Kya Hoga Rama Re, but as the show did not work out due to script issues, no one noticed it,” Mihir clarifies.

The best part about his look in the show is his salt and pepper look. “I have kept beards before, but they were always colored. I have no issue showing grey hair; many people say that it is risky and that I may get typecast. But I am confident about myself and as for looking old, well I am 40 years old so be it. If tomorrow I get a strong character aged 55, I will do it.”

He is enjoying working with co- star Arjun Bijlani. “He is a great human being; we have become very good friends. We joke a lot.”

Unlike many other actors, Mihir is not seen too much on social media. “I believe in letting my work speak for itself. It is up to audiences to like my performances or not. Also I am a very private person. ” says this husband of well known TV actor Manini Mihir Mishra.

Mihir is hopeful that that soon the Indian TV scene will change and we will get to have more mature lead characters. “We have had a few examples, but they are few and far between. Also I agree that male characters don’t have much to do, but this is how things are and we need to make best out of it. Sometimes we get juicy characters while on few occasions we don’t.”

Way to go, Mihir!!
