I do not believe in playing roles that send out a bad message to masses: Ram Awana

Actor Ram Awana who is known for his roles in films Mission Kashmir, Jungle, Kesari etc has presently entered the popular Colors show Barrister Babu.

Barrister Babu is presently focussing on the new life that Bondita (Aurra Bhatnagar) has been thrust into, that of being in the brothel.

Ram who plays the pimp in the track who gets Bondita to this new world is pretty excited about this role.

Ram who has a solid theatre background tells us how playing a baddie and ruthless guy does not go well with him.

Says Ram, “I play the role of Mama Mucchad, a pimp who deals with the selling of girls into brothels.”

Earlier, Ram has featured in shows Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha, Dwarkadheesh Bhagwan Shrree Krishn 2, Aghori, Paramavatar Shri Krishna etc.

“I have never played such a role before. In fact, my community does not allow me to take up roles like that of a eunuch, or a gay. Even when I give my consent to crime-based shows, I check beforehand whether my character will be involving in some major crime or not. Here the pimp is not totally wicked; he will sell the girl and literally his work ends there.”

“I do not believe in playing roles that send out a bad message to the masses. However, I have been getting the bad roles, but take up the ones that fall within a limit.”
