After a successful stint in Piya Albela, cute girl Sheen Dass is looking forward to the upcoming &TV show Shaadi Ke Siyape.
Says Sheen, “Our Full House Media offering is a unique take on the issues wedding planners have. I have not seen any marriage without some grouse. Either there is a problem with the dress, food décor or the relatives feel ignored.”
“Our 4 aliens characters who have come to earth for a special purpose live in Event manager Fancy Aunty’s(Alka Kaushal) marriage hall house. Since they also need to pay for their staying, Aunty keeps them to work for her. The other actors in this ensemble cast include Bhavya Gandhi, Rahul Singh and Mishkat Varma.”
“Not knowing human desire for marriage, they create lots of gaffes. But their idiosyncrasies and special powers (she can read minds) also help to solve the issues which keep creeping up in every episode. In a fun way we have also taken digs at certain negative wedding practices as well,” avers the actress.
After doing heavy duty drama in Piya Albela, Sheen is enjoying the lighter moment, this week-end dramedy affords. “We laugh a lot while doing the scenes; so are hopeful that the audience equally like our work when the show goes on air from 16 th March.”
About the on and off screen equation with Bhavya Gandhi aka old Tappu of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, she explains, “We have just started working, so can’t say much, but there is professional ease.”
Sheen who took a few months break after Piya wrapped up in August did a cameo for the same production house for the show, Papa By Chance. “You need some free time to spend with family and self. Working in a daily leaves you with no time to breathe. Yet we willingly sign up for we love our craft. In absence of this zeal, one will burn out in just a few days.”
When asked about the age old quip that two industry gals can never be friends, she says, “My best friend is Piya Albela co- star Parul Chaudhary. While healthy competition is good, using unfair means to put the other down, can’t be condoned. Having said that such bad vibes exist in all type of friendships be it boy- boy, boy-girl and not necessarily girl- girl only.”
Best of luck, Sheen!!
