Talented and good looking actor Vineet Raina is quite excited about his new Colors show Ishq Mein Marjawan.
He says in a chat with IndianWikiMedia: “One of the main reasons for signing up for this cop character is that it is not very stereotypical. I really enjoy the thin line which I had to skate on between being very funny and khadoos. Lakshya Pradhan is both cocky and serious in the same breath. It is heartening to note that my hard work is being appreciated by the viewers .”
Talking about the show, he says, “It is again a very different story which will unravel as the episodes pass by. Our sound track is also catchy and unique. Producers Yash and Mamta Patnaik are past masters of crafting something off the beaten path.”
He is enjoying sharing screen space with co star Arjun Bijlani. “He is a very good actor and a great human being . We had worked together in our last show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil as well, so our equation continues here as well.”
Further, this dude prefers the old school method of letting his work speak for himself. “I don’t judge others who create controversy but it is not me. It feels satisfying to note that my above policy has paid off. I have kept working ever since I started a decade back with Sati…Satya Ki Shakti. Being a true actor, I felt stagnated after a while essaying positive characters in hit shows (Maayka and Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai) there is not much you can do as the lead. Hence, I tried my hands with negative genre (Punar Vivah and Maa). Here I must credit my producers and creative team for trusting me and not going with typecasting.”
“I also tested my comic bone in Lapataganj and also did an arty show Udaan. At first my character in the latter show was not supposed to last more than 2 months, but it went on over a year, thanks to public appreciation.”
Vineet is also a very positive guy as he feels good times are on its way. “Today, audiences have become very discerning , they reject anything nonsense, hence such shows go off air. Sensible concepts with great performances are being accepted. The digital cusp will only see better thing on the horizon. I would be game for interesting web shows.”
Unlike fellow TV compatriots Vineet will never abandon TV for films. “I get offers for new age cinema but have not yet come across anything juicy enough. If some idea excites me, I will grab it. But yes, not at the cost of TV. I am a big fan of Ronit Roy’s working style, he always balances both mediums.”
Coming to his personal life, Vineet who had separated from wife Tanushree Kaushal, is ready for a second chance at love. “I will never regret any decision. I am a very giving person and will not judge anyone. Having said that I have leant my lessons which will I use but judiciously in the future.”
All the best. Vineet.
