Unlike other actors, Angad, last seen in Zee5 series Ishq Aaj Kal, is not in Mumbai, “I had gone back home to Chandigarh for some work when the nationwide lockdown happened. Had I been in the maximum city, I too would have been cleaning and washing, but luckily here, we have stay- at- home help. Stuck indoors, I am trying to change my lifestyle, meditating, reading, and eating organic food. I am also working out on the terrace,” says Angad, who has done several shows like Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai, Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi. Waaris, among others.
“Agreed things are bad, but then nothing is more important than dear life. I request everyone to stay put.”
Angad is not very hopeful of shoot resuming before July. “We actors are at the greatest risk. I don’t see things working out with limited crews. For a while we guys can do our makeup; the female artists will require help for hair and costume. They also need help to mike up. Social distancing is a mirage on a TV set. Our room too is not a safe zone as crew members need to come in for narration apart from the above makeup. Lesser said the better about the floor which are beehives of activity. The general buzz is that all major activities across all sectors will remain on hold in 2020; only essential stuff might happen. I don’t know what will happen to our industry, fingers crossed,” he ends.
