Beautiful Rubina Dilaik and handsome Abhinav Shukla make for a heavenly pair. Fit & fabulous, Rubina and Abhinav are nuanced performers and together, they give some serious couple goals.

Now, the lovebirds are all set to wed this year and yesterday, the ‘much in love’ duo announced their engagement on social media.

Rubina shares with IWMBuzz: “The excitement is there, but we are taking each day as it comes. I want my wedding to be an outdoor affair. I love the concept of being embraced by nature. Abhinav likes to be amidst the mountains and in the lap of nature. We are trying to look for combinations of all this, and try to achieve it.”

Furthermore, the lovely damsel shares that ‘keeping their individual perspectives in mind, they are trying to work out things as per each other’s likings’.

“We together want to celebrate the moment. Preparations are on pertaining to the outdoor setup in the mountains and forest. We are still finalizing the exact location. There is the unpredictability of rains; the place of wedding will of course be Shimla. Functions will be in Ludhiana and in Mumbai too. We have a long list of people, guests, relatives, friends in Mumbai, so can’t miss it. Shimla and Ludhiana will be a private affair. For the professional circle, we have  it in Mumbai. We want the wedding to be a close knit affair with close friends and family,” says Rubina flashing her pearlies.

And the two have superb plans in place. “In Shimla, we exchange our vows in the open. First will be amidst a complete setup of mandap and pheras; it will be an Indian wedding. For us exchange of vows is important, that’s what we are looking at. That will happen in the presence of friends and families. Nothing over the top, we want a simple wedding. We see it as a way to celebrate the moment and rejoice each other’s presence. That’s the aim. My family is much excited than his at the moment. I am actually at a balancing stage, work and preparations at home. Balancing act is happening as of now for me. I have not got time to sit and relax. That will happen probably couple of days before wedding.”

Rubina playing the lead in Colors’ Shakti, will stretch it out to balance work and home.

“I have to balance out. Not more than a week or ten days I can take as a break for my wedding. I hold the responsibility of my show as well. I need to compensate, so putting in more hours now. I will ensure that work doesn’t suffer,” she ends.

Well, indeed great commitment, Rubina. We are sure this will be one fairy tale wedding.

Rubina and Abhinav’s Shimla wedding will be on 21 June, Ludhiana function will be on 24th and Mumbai function date is yet to be finalised.
