Mohit Parmar the young lad from Himachal Pradesh is happy on bagging his first big break with the Star Plus show Pandya Store, produced by Sphere Origin.
Says Mohit, “Even though the show airs at 11 PM, our numbers are on the rise. We have a very good screen time. Above all, there is not much of a competition at the 11 PM slot. So there are many positive aspects to look into.”
Mohit hails from Palampur, in Himachal Pradesh. “I came to Mumbai two years back and was looking at good opportunities. However, when the lockdown happened last year, I went back to my hometown. I was doing few shoots out there. And that was when I got an audition offer for Pandya Store which I sent from there. However, for the mock shoot, they called me to Mumbai. I was very much positive about the role and I came for the mock. I was extremely delighted when I got selected to play the role of Krish, the youngest of the Pandya brothers.”
Talking about his character and story, Mohit exclaims, “The best aspect about being part of Pandya Store is that I am getting to work with so many known actors. All are so very helpful and this is a learning ground for me.”
Mohit is happy with the kind of scenes that are being given to him. “My first performance-oriented sequence was when my bhabhi Dhara (Shiny Doshi) saw Krish puffing away cigarettes and encountered him. It was a very emotional scene that ended in Shiva slapping Krish, and later a nice moment between Krish and Dhara. I am sure I will have many such scenes to speak about in the near future. Yes, this show is a big break for me and I am looking forward to enjoying myself in the role.”
“It is like a family on the set of Pandya Store. We hope the viewers get to enjoy the tale.”
Mohit has worked in a short film with veteran actor Zarina Wahab and is looking forward to its release. As of now, his focus is mainly on his TV debut show Pandya Store.
