Actor Paras Madaan who was seen as a very intimidating and aggressive character in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin on Star Plus, is back on the channel with the new show Pocket Mein Aasmaan. Produced by Boyhood Productions, the show is the Hindi adaptation of the hit Bengali show Tomader Rani. Paras is seen playing the role of Rajshekhar, the son-in-law of the main Gandhi family.

Says Paras about the concept of the show, “This is the Hindi remake of a popular Bengali show Tomader Rani. The concept of the show is what is inspiring to one and all. We have our protagonist Rani, who aspires to become a doctor. Her struggle in overcoming all odds of her life, to become a doctor is the crux of the story.”

Talking about his selection in the show, Paras says, “I was looking for a meaty role when the character of Rajshekhar came to me. In fact, the team had been looking for an ideal match for the character for a long time. I was the last actor to be locked on the show. In today’s time, finding good roles has become tough. We are seeing shows ending in quick time. The team of Pocket Mein Aasmaan were keen on having me for the role. I believed in their word. I am enjoying my time in the role as of now.”

Speaking about his character, Paras says, “Well, Rajshekhar has just been introduced. He has come for the wedding of his wife’s family. The character is yet to be opened up. All I can tell the viewers as of now, is that there will be layers to Rajshekhar. We have a huge cast in the show. All the characters will have a track and a unique presence in the story plot. Rajshekhar’s track will also be opened up at the right time.”

Ask him if this role is also headed to being negative, as he feels quite comfortable playing the bad guy, and Paras says, “Yes, it is true that I like the negative roles more as they have a lot of scope than the positive characters. However, I cannot talk about what Rajshekhar’s graph holds for me, you have to watch the show.”

Pocket Mein Aasmaan opened to a decent 1.2 TVR at the 11 PM slot on Star Plus. “The opening has been good for the show. We now air at the 6.30 PM slot. We are working hard. The best part is that all the artists are well-prepared for their scenes and this makes work easier. It is a positive unit to be in.”

Best of luck!!
