Being part of the new underwater world in Baalveer Returns makes me feel great: Vimarsh Roshan

Vimarsh Roshan is all ready to break his image of being part of social drama shows by playing the tyrant in the fantasy based Baalveer Returns the popular Sony SAB show. The show is produced by Optimystix.

The actor who has been part of many successful shows likes Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai, Balika Vadhu etc will return to the genre of fantasy after nearly 11 years, his last being for Rajkumar Aaryan.

Vimarsh plays the role of Baambaal the power-hungry and cunning antagonist of the underwater world in Baalveer Returns.

Says Vimarsh, “It is a happy feeling to be back to the fantasy world. Baambaal is the villain in the super-hero story. For the first time in Indian television, they are going to show the underwater world. We have been watching the international formats of such kind. I must say that the computer graphics have come out really well in the promos and the initial episodes. The team has done its best to match the high standards. Being part of the new underwater world in Baalveer Returns makes me feel great, like being part of something really well-made.”

Talking about his character, Vimarsh explains, “Baambaal is the human personification of an alligator. He has some powers to execute. My aim is to bring to the plate a lot more as an actor. I hope I am able to do justice to my role.”

On the challenges before him to play the character, he says, “The main challenge lies in the kind of layers that I am adding to the character. When it comes to villains on TV, there is a certain stereotype that is followed. On my front, I will want to break this stereotype, probably not keeping the character in the same zone all the time. My goal will be to surprise audience in every scene that Baambaal is in. If I am successful in executing this, I will be greatly satisfied.”
