Talented actor Romiit Raaj is certainly being missed on TV today, after his engaging portrayal in the role of Rohit Poddar in Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s popular and long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. While Romiit is now pepped up to pick the next good offer, he takes time out today, 11 April, on the occasion of National Pet Day, to be around his baby boy, his pet, Messi.
Says Romiit, “Messi is a Toy Poodle—my baby boy. I wish him a long, healthy life always. He is full of energy and just wants to spread love.”
Speaking about his best attribute, Romiit avers, “Messi comes to show his love to me every 10 minutes. He sits next to me all the time and has his own special ways of communicating with me. This unconditional love binds me to him.”
His special toys are, “He has a rope, an elephant soft toy, and a beer-shaped toy—which are his favourites.”
Urging people to have a pet with them, Romiit says, “In this one life, you must have a pet. They are such loving souls. But please, never adopt a pet without emotional attachment or just because your friend or neighbour has one. Pets should always be loved like a family member.”
On his mode of celebration on this special day, Romiit quips, “I will be taking Messi to the beach for the first time. He’s still a puppy, so I am very careful about taking him to crowded places. He loves the outdoors, and I love playing football with him.”
On the work front, Romiit says, “My next [project] will, God willing, be out soon with all your love and prayers. I would like the production house to announce it first.”
