Actress Hritu Dudani may be essaying the terrorizing character of Sonia in Zee TV’s popular show Dil Dhoondta Hai (Dashami Creations). But the fact remains that she’s a truly grounded and pleasing actor.
She says, “It is the first time I am playing a vamp on screen. Although I am enjoying each and every shade of the character, I am nowhere similar to what I portray on screen. I am soft-spoken, calm and a fun-loving person. My mannerisms in the show are very aggressive and sharp to the eye. But I am very different in real life. I enjoy life to the fullest, love to smile and laugh around with people, and have a very accommodating personality.”
She further adds, “Unlike my onscreen bond, I have a healthy relationship with each and every cast member. They are actors par excellence, and I feel happy to be working with one of the best teams.”
Talking about the challenging role, she quips, “I am really enjoying my new avatar. As I am attempting it for the first time, it is really challenging for me. Be it positive or negative, I pick up roles that are challenging for me as an actor. If I feel the character is good, I choose the project. I feel actors should be open to do any kind of challenging roles in their career.”
When asked how difficult it was for her to torture her co-star and perform it on screen, she shares, “I feel really bad when I have to torture someone on screen. I feel guilty, and sometimes I end up saying sorry too, to my co-star Raavi (Shivya Pathania), for hurting her on screen.”
Keep up the good work, Hritu!
