We do expect better ratings, and we do hope that Pocket Mein Aasman gets the recognition it deserves, whether through a better slot or stronger TRPs.
Pinky in Pocket Mein Aasman has been quite a surprise. What do you have to say?
I had been looking for a character like this for a long time, and then Pinky just came to me—almost like fate! She is the heart of Pocket Mein Aasman, and playing her is an absolute thrill. Pinky is bold, extroverted, and completely unpredictable—every scene of her brings a new surprise. The best part? No one ever knows what Pinky will do next!
Pinky has to be your first role in such an extrovert kind of zone. What is your take?
This is the first time I am playing such a character, and the response has been beyond anything I expected. The love, the excitement, and even the hate—not for Pooja, but for Pinky—have been incredible to witness! It is amazing how deeply people are connecting with her, and honestly, that motivates me even more. Honestly, I have played shades of negative before, but mostly positive roles. Pinky, however, is a completely different experience for me—she’s super extroverted, outspoken, and full of life. As an actor, I feel there are so many variations I can bring to this role, which makes it even more exciting.
Pinky’s biggest fear is losing her place in the family, and that’s what drives her actions. She’s fun, she’s lively, and playing her has given me a whole new level of confidence as an actor.
Describe Pinky in your own way?
The most interesting part about Pinky is that she’s not entirely negative. She’s not a villain—she just doesn’t like Rani and anything connected to her. But with the rest of the people, she’s sweet, kind, and has her own charm. And honestly, isn’t that how real people are? We all have people we don’t like, but that doesn’t make us entirely negative. Pinky’s biggest fear is losing her place in the family, and that’s what drives her actions. She’s fun, she’s lively, and playing her has given me a whole new level of confidence as an actor.
For every actor, a role like this is important—it challenges you, pushes you, and helps you grow. The love and feedback I have been receiving from the production house, my viewers, my creatives, and even my co-actors—Farman, Abhika, and the entire team—motivate me every single day. Of course, there are moments when portraying Pinky in certain situations becomes tricky, but that’s where I rely on my producers, creatives, and co-actors for guidance.
Does it bother you that Pocket Mein Aasmaan has not ended up having a very good rating.
Yes, it does bother me because, despite delivering such amazing episodes and storytelling, our show is not getting the ratings it truly deserves. And I am not just saying this for myself—I am saying this based on the incredible response I receive from the audience through emails, Instagram messages, and daily interactions. I can confidently say that people are hooked to our story, they are loving it, and they genuinely want more of it.
Of course, ongoing cricket matches could be a factor, but even beyond that, I truly believe this show has the potential to perform even better.
So yes, we do expect better ratings, and we do hope that Pocket Mein Aasman gets the recognition it deserves, whether through a better slot or stronger TRPs. But no matter what, we are committed to giving our audience the best…
How are you balancing your work and home, considering it is your first project after marriage?
Frankly speaking, Karan is incredibly supportive. Marrying an actor means marrying someone who truly understands the demands, struggles, and passion of this profession—and Karan just gets it. Nobody can understand an actor better than an actor himself, and that’s what makes our journey together so effortless.
We both manage it so well—when he’s shooting, I am there for him, and when I am shooting, he’s there for me. And when we are both shooting, we still find ways to be there for each other. It is all about balance, and we have found our rhythm beautifully. More than anything, we constantly motivate and uplift each other.
So, for me, balancing work and family life feels natural because my husband is not just my biggest supporter but also my biggest cheerleader. He’s loving, understanding, and always by my side, making this journey even more special.
How is life after marriage?
Life after marriage is truly beautiful. I now realize that this was the missing piece in my life, and oh my God, I feel so complete! I feel truly blessed and incredibly grateful to God for sending such an amazing partner my way.
I waited so long for Karan, and every moment of that wait was absolutely worth it. Having someone like him in my life is the biggest blessing. It’s beautiful, it’s fulfilling, and it’s filled with so much love. I could not have asked for anything more….
