Playing Gunjan in Namak Issk Ka is not a cakewalk: Sheetal Tiwari

Sheetal Tiwari's real and reel life contrast

Getting into the skin of a character is not an easy task for any actor but for Sheetal Tiwari it was more tough as her reel character is an absolute contrast from her real persona. Sheetal is essaying role of Gunjan in Colors’ show ‘Namak Ishq Ka’ a family drama which deals with love issues in a joint family. Initially it was not a difficult task for her, she slipped into the character easily, but with the twists in the show her character portrays the complexity and different shades.

Finding the role challenging, Sheetal is happy that ‘Namak Ishq Ka’ has given her an opportunity to experiment with a unique character. Sheetal shares, “My character in ‘Namak Ishq Ka’ is of a simple girl who is very stubborn and being the youngest in the family, she has been used to getting all her wishes fulfilled and pampered. Gunjan can go to any lengths to get back her love of life. In reality, I am very much simple but not at all this crazy. I have always been loved at home but not blindly pampered and I have always somehow never made crazy demands in front of my family. This is like playing an another extreme of my personality, but a good actor is someone who gets into the skin of every character and does justice to that role. So, playing this character is not a cakewalk and I had to work upon, it is more like playing the opposite of ‘real me’. Although in the show, my character demands more of an angry and stubborn persona but in reality, I am a person who is full of happiness.”
