Playing Hanumaan helped me evolve as a person and an actor: Nirbhay Wadhwa

The actor cherishes his Hanumaan experience...

Meet Nirbhay Wadhwa and you will experience living example of hardwork and continued effort to evolve as a person and a professional.

His popularity hit Aonian heights with his performance as Lord Hanumaan in Sony TV’s popular mytho show Hanumaan.

Shares the brawny actor: “I have been blessed to be a part of the show. I am thankful to Contiloe and specially Abhimanyu and Roopali Singh for showing faith in me. The shooting experience has been exemplary with harness and crown et al. I will cherish the moments forever.”

He continues: “Hanumaan helped me grow as a person and a professional. I became a better actor and a human being. I have become more calm & composed. I am lucky to have played such a revered character at such a young age.”

Nirbhay further shares with us that in Jaipur people actually worship his avatar in temples. “It’s overwhelming and embarrassing at the same time. Yet, I am honoured by the love. People actually touch my feet and seek blessings. It is a surreal experience overall.”

The talented actor further tells an interesting anecdote; “Once I was caught by city cops for not having umber plate on my bike but they were kind enough to let me go, thanks to my popular portrayal.”

When playing Hanumaan, comparison with late Dara Singh (who played the iconic character back in time) is inevitable: “He was amazing. There is no comparison at all. I have done my bit and I am happy that after him people relate me with the character of Hanumaan. It’s indeed an honour.”

In closing, Nirbhay says, “I am thankful to fans of the show. Director Neeraj Pandey is a great inspiration, co actors Saurav Gujjar and Gagan Malik are great pals. Now that the show is going off air, I would like to thank one and all and looking forward to the next experience.”

Hanumaan will air its last episode on 21 August 2017 and will be replaced by Vighnaharta Ganesh.
