If the public does not like Bepannaah, I will simply have to move on: Jennifer Winget

Jennifer Winget is quite happy with the way her new Colors show, Bepannaah, is beginning to shape up. “We are already getting good traction on social media.”

Jenny is lucky to playtwo completely different characters in a short period of time.“I am glad that after playing an obsessive lover in Beyhadh, I got a chance to essay an innocent woman, Zoya, who is forced by circumstances to come to terms with the fact that her husband was cheating on her. Bepannaah is all about second chances. Many a times, when relationships fail, you only blamethe other;rather, is it not better to introspect, and if possible, takeanother shot at finding happiness?”

Personally as well, Jenifer still believes in love, after her failed marriage to Karan Singh Grover. “It is not only about moving on.This most beautiful emotion makes you happy.Everybody must try it”.

We then broach the subject of the rumours flying about, about her alleged equation with Bepannaah co- star, Sehban Azim. “Being good friends, we now laugh at it.Why does the media not float new rumors?” quips Jenny, who has been part of several hit shows over the years, including Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Dill Mill Gayye and Saraswatichandra.”

Post Beyhadh, which was another success, Jenny had taken off ona European tour with her childhood girl gang.“We really had a blast doing loads of shopping. This break was needed, for playing an intense character for long does take a toll. But yes, Maya(her character name) was not bad; there were reasons for whatever she did.”

On fear of comparison with Beyhadh, Jenny admits, “Yes, there is a certain amount of nervousness, but at the end of day, we can only put in our best. If the public does not like Bepannaah, I will simply have to move on.”

Besides fiction, Jenny wouldlove to take part in a dance-based reality show. I would really have to bend my back though, as I can’t shake a leg well. I am game for hostingas well, with good friend Rithvik Dhanjani (anchoring a lot these days); his energy is too great.”

When asked about her unfortunate film sojourn, the hurt was visible. “Working with Kunal Kohli was fun, but due to certain circumstances, Phir Se never saw the light of day. It is now streaming on Netflix.”
