Punctuality is the biggest gain from my experience down South: Chandni Bhagwanani

Chandni Bhagwanani who played the lead in the Telugu movie Ratham talks about this big screen experience and much more.

Chandni Bhagwanani who is presently seen in Colors’ Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop is happy with the response gotten for her movie down South.

Chandni played the lead in the Telugu film, Ratham along with known actor Geetanand.

The talented actress who has been part of TV shows Amita Ka Amit, Jhalli Anjali Ke Tootey Dil Ki Amazing Story, Santoshi Maa, Mahakali etc is satisfied with the whole experience.

Says Chandni, “It was certainly a learning curve. The movie did have a quick release, as there were many big banner movies to launch soon after. Ratham stayed in theatres for nearly two weeks and did good business.”

Chandni learnt a lot from the professionals down South. “The working style out there is very different. They are technically very strong and have clear divisions and roles on set. This helps the shoot to go on in smooth pace. The best part about the experience was the joy of seeing myself on the big screen (smiles).”

Ask her about the big gain from this experience and she is quick to say, “I have developed the   habit of being punctual. I will never in my life be late to work. Also, I understood a lot about the body language needed to portray a role. The Director was very good, and looked at minute details needed. I understood that there were different tones of emotions that an actor can portray. This is a learning curve for life.”

Ask her about immediate plans and she states, “I have shot for another Telugu movie which is due for release in February 2019. I have been getting lot of offers for Telugu movies. But I will be very selective in choosing my roles. If the script is too good, I don’t mind working with a new Producer. If it is a normal commercial love story, I will rather prefer being part of a bigger banner.”

Chandni is also working on her fitness level. “There is a new trend down South of preferring slim girls for lead roles. So I am working on myself. I am into Yoga, running and circuit training. I have lost quite a lot of weight, and will be into right shape by this year end.”

As for her television stint Chandni feels there is not much of work for her in Roop. “I will also look for more offers on TV. Television has been my base, and I will love to be part of it. I will take up the best offer that comes to me.”

Way to go, Chandni!!
