Talented actor Naveen Pandita, who is known for his roles in the shows Gandii Baat, Aap Ke Aa Jaane Se, and Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara, is back to entertain the masses in a new character. The actor is currently seen as Ashwin in Sony Sab’s latest offering Pushpa Impossible.
Talking about the show, he added, “Pushpa Impossible is not your regular daily soap. It has an aim to inspire and provoke women to better their lives. Pushpa is not like the stereotypical Indian mothers they portray in shows. She is a multitasker but not a bechari maa doing it all. She is doing everything with self-confidence which is often lacking in the good old representation of Indian Mothers on T.V. I liked the aspect of the story. I am sure, the show will create ripples in society and even if one woman benefits from the show, it is a huge deal for us.
When asked about his preparation for the role, he mentioned, “I gave over 7 mock shoots right in the beginning. With each shoot, layers of the character started unfolding one by one. I got to introduce and consume Ashwin into my system. However, I still think that there is a lot to grasp.”
Any woman who has inspired you in real life? Naveen quipped, “I have to say it’s always been, my mother. I used to be an engineer before. So, the courage to leave my safety nest behind and try my luck in acting comes from her. She has always given me moral support and my survival in the creative field was also funded by her to a great extent.”
