I put in extra effort to understand and play the role of Jambavati in RadhaKrishn: Vaidehii Nair

Vaidehii Nair who is presently part of the cast of Star Bharat’s popular show RadhaKrishn produced by Swastik Productions has been keen on becoming an actor from a very young age.

Vaidehii is portraying the role of Jambavati, the second wife of Krishn (Sumedh Mudgalkar) in the show.

Says Vaidehi, “I was interested in acting from a very young age. I started my career from the age of 10 years. At that time, I used to stand in front of the mirror and make expressions and act. I also love dancing. My parents noticed this talent in me and started to encourage me from a very young age.”

Vaidehii who is now 14 years feels blessed and fortunate enough to be born in a family that mirrors modern India. “Besides acting and modelling, I love art, dancing, playing guitar and travelling. I shifted to Mumbai with my mother in July 2018. My mother Dr Manpreet Nair sacrificed her career for me. My father Lt.Col. Sreejit Nair is serving the Indian Army. I study in Vibgyor Roots and Rise School and I am grateful to my school and teachers that I am able to balance academics and my career.”

Talking about her stint in RadhKrishn, the girl states, “Acting in RadhaKrishn is like a homecoming for me because this is my second show with Swastik Productions. I did my first show Tantra with them. It has always been like a family and I am thankful to have been given this opportunity. I am learning a lot during my shoot since this my first role in a mythological show. Everyone in the team is so very co-operative.”

For Vaidehii, it was a dream to become an actor. “It feels good now that my dream has come true. However, I know that I have to learn a lot and work hard to establish myself in the industry.”

Ask her about playing a role above her real age and she states, “Yes, it is difficult to play a role above my real age. Most of the times, I have had to compete in auditions with actors above my age. However, I put in extra efforts to understand and play the role. I have been fortunate enough to work with Directors who have been able to make me understand my roles better.”

Best of luck, Vaidehii!!
