Tarun Khanna, last seen in the ill-fated Star Plus show Namah, is a huge Bigg Boss buff.

“Luckily, I have followed most seasons of this big ticket Colors reality show, except for three which were very boring i.e. last year, then season 9 when Prince won, and finally BB 6, which also featured Rajeev Paul.”

Coming to the current season, he says, “It is a straight fight between Rashami Desai and Sidharth Shukla.”

“I really like Shukla, for not only has he a great sense of humour but is also very intelligent, world and game wise as well. Sadly though, he does get carried away by emotions. His abusing is off-kilter, period.”

“Sadly, Rashami is the biggest fake, for she thinks herself above the game. No wonder, at first she never came out openly. Her contribution to the game is zero, except her face off with Shukla”, says Tarun, who has done several historical and mytho shows like Chandragupta Maurya, Mahadev, etc.

“She needs to stop targeting Shukla with all sorts of accusations regarding whatever might have brewed between them in the past. Shukla is not the first off the cuff in trading insults, but if you start, he will respond 10 X, which again irks her. The latter, being a smart guy, know all these things look good on telly, so. happily joins the party.”

“Shukla’s game is so powerful that everybody, including least deserving housemate Arti Singh, too keeps needling him. He cares a fig about others and says so openly.”

When asked about Asim Riaz, he says, “This guy, who has more brawn than brains, believes in the notion that fighting and screaming without reason gets you visibility”.

But Shukla and Asim were buddies at one time in the house? “I guess his insecurity got the. better of him. But that is Shukla’s personality. Whoever is with him does land up the second place. Even Paras Chhabra, ever since he mended fences with Shukla, is being perceived the same way.”

“Smart Shehnaaz Gill stays in the game either by fighting or becoming Shukla’s friend. Shukla too tolerates her, wanting followers.”

“Ditto Paras, who deliberately does PDA with Mahira Sharma in lieu of footage. He will not win, but he sure has made a niche for himself, courtesy this show.”

In closing, Tarun laments the thinking of most Bigg Boss contestants and winners post exit regarding their career moves.

“Very few have made a name for themselves outside. The problem is that they think they have become film stars having rubbed shoulders with Salman Khan. They then start living under the illusion that they are the next big names after the Khan trio and Akshay Kumar. This makes them turn down TV offers, which ironically, could have kept them in circulation. In the end they get nowhere, for Bollywood is a closed family club. Doing odd roles in Sallu’s Jai Ho also did not help Ashmit Patel, right?”
