Erica Fernandes is a model and actress known for her various roles in television like Dr. Sonakshi Bose in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi and Prerna in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
She began her career with modeling. She took part in various beauty pageants. She then acted in various Tollywood films, Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu was her first film to release. She then acted in various films like Ninnindale, Babloo Happy Hai which was also her first Hindi film.
Erica then made her television debut with Sony TV’s Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi where she portrayed Dr. Sonakshi Bose alongside Shaheer Shaikh who played her love interest. The show revolved around their love story, the misunderstandings and the various problems in their relationship. The pair was greatly appreciated, they also won the Lions Gold Award for the best onscreen Jodi. She also won the Asian Viewers Television Award for the best female television actor of the year.
From 2018 she has been playing Prerna Sharma in Star Plus’s Kasuatii Zindagii Kay opposite Parth Samathaan. This show also revolves around the love story of Prerna and Anurag and the problems that they face because of their relationship. She won the Kalakar Award for the Most Popular Actress and the pair also won the Indian Telly Award for the best onscreen Jodi.
Erica was ranked twice in Times of India’s 20 most desirable women on the Indian television list, coming in the top 4 positions. She also won many more awards for her remarkable performances.
Erica started from a simple modeling career to working in small Telugu films to today where she is one of the best actresses on Indian television. Her work towards Indian television though less is remarkable. She reached great heights in a very short span of time. She is an excellent example of hard work and determination.
