Ever since its premiere, Zee TV’s latest fiction show – Rishton Ka Manjha, has made a remarkable impression on the audience through its intriguing plot and relatable characters of Arjun (Krushal Ahuja) and Diya (Aanchal Goswami). The duo has already received immense love from the viewers for their adorable chemistry, and in a surprising twist, they will be seen getting married in a sudden manner. However, it is Diya’s wedding look that has already gone viral. The actress, who was seen in a chic Bengali bridal avatar, has suddenly become the talk of the town.
To showcase Diya’s character as authentic as possible, Aanchal had recently taken up an authentic Bengali bridal avatar for Rishton Ka Manjha’s upcoming wedding sequence. The actress looked gorgeous as she wore a red Banarasi saree embellished with golden details and embroidery to match the gold jewelry that she adorned. While her snaps from the set and promo have been trending, looks like Aanchal had a gala time getting into such an avatar and shooting for this crucial sequence. In fact, the actress also revealed how Bipasha Basu was one of the biggest inspirations behind the look.
As Aanchal Goswami reveals, “I love the Bengali culture and I got really excited when I came to know that I’ll have to shoot for a wedding sequence in Rishton ka Manjha. While playing Diya and embodying the Bengali culture has been pretty exciting, the show has also made my dream of being a Bengali bride come true. More than the wedding sequence, I was mainly excited to get ready as a Bengali Bride. I had always fancied wearing a banarasi saree with the beautiful, traditional Bengali Alta along with mehendi on my hands. I must mention that I always had a liking for the way Bengalis dress up during their wedding. Their wedding look are so simplistic yet poised. In fact, I was so inspired by the wedding look of Bipasha Basu, that I always wished that I could have that look at my real wedding (laughs).”
She further added, “I was amazed by the entire Bengali bridal avatar, from the bold red bindi to the gorgeous kajal eyes, I just loved everything about my look. The simplicity of Diya’s bridal attire makes me a big fan of their culture and I cannot wait to share this grand look with the audience. While shooting for this wedding sequence, I felt as if it was my real wedding as we did so many different rituals in different get-ups. I even had my own rings added to the jewelry for the look to have some part of Aanchal in Diya’s character.”
While Aanchal shares her experience of being a Bengali bride, dramatic changes in Arjun and Diya’s lives will catch them off-guard during the upcoming episodes of the show.
