You were not seen on TV for a while. What kept you busy?
Yes, I took a 6-7 month break because I wanted to prioritize my health and well-being. Being a lead in a show can take a significant toll on both your mind and body, so I felt it was essential to reset and focus on getting back in shape. Additionally, I spent some quality time with my parents, who were visiting the city, which was truly special. I would say it was time well spent, as it helped me recharge physically, mentally, and emotionally.
What attributes in RK do you like personally?
RK is a very intriguing character—fun-loving, bursting with energy, and someone who constantly strives to make others happy. But what makes him truly special is his depth. He’s not just a cheerful, surface-level individual; there’s a complexity to him that makes him stand out. It’s not a character that everyone can pull off, and that challenge is precisely what drew me to him. I thrive on roles that push me beyond my comfort zone, and RK is exactly that.
How is it working in one of the biggest shows on TV right now?
Working on the biggest show on Indian television is both exhilarating and, at times, overwhelming. Being a part of such a massive legacy comes with its fair share of responsibilities. You are expected to bring your A-game every single day, which motivates me to constantly improve and deliver my best because being part of the best requires you to give your best.
What kind of roles attract you now?
As an actor, I firmly believe one should never be completely satisfied with their craft. Complacency is the enemy of growth. The moment you think you have mastered something is the moment you limit your potential. That’s why I am drawn to challenging roles—they inspire me to dig deeper, push my boundaries, and discover new facets of myself and my abilities. Acting is an art I hope to continue learning and evolving in until my very last breath.
How are you feeling, now that you have established the character so well?
When I was preparing to step into YRKKH, I was nervous about how RK’s entry would be received by the audience. But, to my surprise and delight, the fans have been incredibly supportive. I have been flooded with messages about how much they love RK and want to see more of him. That encouragement has been both humbling and motivating.
What can viewers expect in the show now?
As for what’s next, viewers can look forward to some exciting twists and turns. Our writer, Bhavna, and our producer, Mr. Rajan Shahi, are brilliant at keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.
