I wanted to do something that pushes me forward as an artist: Avinash Mishra on Durga

Talking about being part of the show, Avinash shared, “The character really excited me and hence I agreed to do the show. I have never played such a role in my career. I wanted to do something that pushes me forward as an artist.

What was the challenging part? He shares, “The most challenging part while playing the role of Dev was getting the body language of it. The guy is 24 years old and his brain is 5 years old so to adapt the childish behaviour and get it right was difficult but I manage to pull it off.”

Commenting on the preparation for the role, he mentions, “I watched few movies for reference like Barfi, My Name Is Khan, Joker. I am a gym addict person hence I was very muscular but the character had different demands so I lost 5kgs. I shed a few kilos to cut down the excess muscles to show a leaner appearance to suit the look of the role of Dev.”

On an end note, he adds, “I feel the divine connection and the chemistry between Durga and Dev would be the USP of the show. I will be essaying an interesting in the show and I would love if the audience will enjoy this side of me as an actor.”
