Samridhii Shukla who has effortlessly got into the skin of Abhira in Rajan Shahi and Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, beautifully portrays the highs and lows of relationships, making fans swoon with her heartfelt performances. A firm believer in love’s magic, Samridhii adores the charm of romance, grand gestures, and the little moments that make love so special. She likes how the makers have created the love story in the show.

Talking about how the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai portrays love, Samridhii says, “Our show explores love in a way that is complex, which is what all relationships are. Love is never simple, love is never something that comes easy, especially when you are married or you are looking to marry. Especially in Indian households, both families—the bride’s and the groom’s—have their own feelings, relationships, and opinions that must be taken into account. So, our show is a love story of two people bound together by love but also splitting apart due to family issues. This is the reality for so many couples. There are so many people in love relationships, but when they get married, it doesn’t always work out. Many times, family plays a very big role.”

When it comes to filming romantic scenes in the show, Samridhii finds it hard to pick her favourite. However, she holds a special place for the song sequences integrated into the episodes. “We have shot a lot of romantic scenes, so it’s hard for me to pick one but I specifically like all the song sequences that we do that we also integrate in the episode. It’s very aesthetic, and beautiful, it’s shot well and it’s all love. ”

For her, romance isn’t just about grand gestures; it’s about the little moments—the playful banter, the lighthearted arguments over trivial things, and the eventual laughter and reconciliation. “I love the banter between Armaan and Abhira, I love their give and takes and I love how we used to just keep bickering on sometimes important and sometimes useless stuff. And then just in the end, we’re just like, okay, we’ll just laugh it off and we’ll just hug it out. So that counts for me as a romantic scene. And I love doing those kinds of scenes.”
