Young actor Aditi Bhatia aka Ruhi of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame had a quiet 31st December this year.
Says the young girl, “I was at home only. These days you know how it is tough for all family members to be together at the same time. So we guys had a blast.”
This good looking girl feels that the relatable story of her show is one of the main reasons for its continuing success. “I really don’t need to act, for Ruhi is half just like me.” Among her co – stars, she is the most closest to Divyanka didi (Divyanka Tripathi). “She is a gem of a person”, avers the girl.
At the moment Aditi is quite satisfied with her YHM stint. “I also need time to study, hence not interested in picking up other projects for the moment. Once I am ready post working on myself, if some juicy character be it on web or TV comes along, I will go for it.”
But yes she did put her foot down regarding doing bold roles. We are sure films will also be high on her bucket list as is the case with most talented TV artists.
Class 12 student Aditi is certainly losing out on college life. “I give my exams, but don’t know about attendance.”
Ask her about acting affecting studies and she says, “I don’t think so, it depends. Right now I am doing my thing; let’s see what happens down the road.”
This is one issue which certainly affects most young TV actors who in a hurry to get famous may lose out on the foundation for life which a proper education provides. If you take a look, most well successful actors have proper degrees. It is very tough to balance both as most young actors claim to do. This crisis is getting deeper as today every producer/channel wants leads who are just 18-20 years. So these young girls who rather than studying are running around from pillar to post for auditions.
Further as makers want to save a buck, they prefer fresh faces’ to known artists thereby only adding fuel to fire.
The arc lights are not new to Aditi who has been a child artist starting with films (Vivaah and Shootout at Lokhandwala etc). Prior to YHM, she was also a part of Tashan-E- Ishq and Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza as well.
May you have a bright career both on the academic and work front, Aditi!!
