Kundali Bhagya has been a huge show for you in terms of your comeback to TV. Tell us about the ups and downs of the journey.
To be honest, I don’t think it is a comeback by any means, as I got this show 3 months after I quit Sasural Simar Ka, which again was a number show. This show has given me a new dimension and has given me an opportunity to showcase my versatility. As far as my journey is concerned, it has been great, with no major ups and downs. I have been constantly working and have made my mark in the industry.
How satisfied are you with the role at the moment?
I am completely satisfied with my role as Karan Luthra. This role has been a dream come true for me, and moreover, Karan is exactly Iike I am in real life, hence satisfaction is guaranteed.
You have come a long way indeed…your thoughts on your journey in the industry…
My journey, like I mentioned earlier, has been very satisfying. I have worked hard for it. I have also made a lot of friends in the industry. God has been kind and has helped me with some great personalities such as Ekta Kapoor, Rajan Shahi, etc.
How important is family life and personal space to you?
It is extremely important for me. After all, we are working so hard for personal satisfaction and happiness. And I make a special effort to keep it the way it is.
Tell us about your rapport with the leading lady of your show, Shraddha Arya?
Shraddha and I are not only co-stars but also extremely close friends. We bonded the day we shot our first scene. It is amazing to have her as my co-star on the show.
How do you both bring out the chemistry that is seen on screen?
I think it all starts with the kind of friendship we share off screen. We are very good friends and are really comfortable with each other.
How has the relationship between you and wife Vinny evolved?
Vinny has been my backbone and I keeping on saying this that whatever I am today is because of her. Right from the time I met her, till today, she has been a major support for me in all walks of life.
Do you wish to be part of any reality show?
Why not? If there is something that interests me then why not? I want to do everything possible as an artist and leave no stones unturned.
What is the biggest lesson that this industry has taught you over the years?
The biggest lesson I have learnt is that you have to be extremely good at your art, and to the point and sharp, to survive in the industry. Rest everything is secondary. Once these things are sorted then everything else falls into place.
Would you like to explore the web platform?
Like I said earlier, I want to explore every possible thing as an actor. In fact, I have been a part of certain web content which should be out soon.
