Young and talented diva Aayushi Khurana, who was last seen in the Dangal TV show ‘Mann Sundar’, is currently stealing the limelight with her role of Ajooni in Star Bharat show Ajooni. Her character is of a young woman from a middle-class household who is quite straightforward.
Talking about the show, she said, “I am excited as well as nervous for this new daily. Ajooni is a strong character. She is willing to endure and sacrifice her own happiness for others and thinks about them selflessly. The most special part of the character Ajooni is that she takes a stand and fights for her right. This really attracted me. Also, I really loved the script and storyline of the show.”
When asked about preparation for the role, she added, “The show is based around Punjabi families. I belong to a Punjabi family in real life. Hence, it wasn’t difficult to get into the skin of the character and ace the accent. In the show, I am just following my culture. In real life, I love wearing patiala. Although, I don’t wear them often in Mumbai. But via this show, I am getting to wear amazing patiala dresses.”
Aayushi is also a popular social media influencer and talking about the importance of social media, she said, “When I initially started I was not that active on social media. I came to Mumbai and started actively using social media. I received amazing responses from audiences. It was an overwhelming experience. Social media connects you to the fans. So it is an amazing platform for actors.”
