Although upcoming TV star, Zain Imam loves his fans, sometimes their overzealous intrusive nature does irk him. “I don’t like unnecessary interference in my personal life. I know you guys love me, but a certain decorum is always required.”
“Many times, they also comment on my professional decisions. Obviously, they don’t understand why I take certain steps (different types of characters). I know they do it for my good but they will just not get it.”
Zain, last seen in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, will next play a cop in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna. He says, “I had to bulk up a lot for the same, which meant a lot of major changes in my diet and gym regimen. And interestingly, now the channel wants me to lose a bit of the same gained weight.” He refused to spell out more info about this Star Plus show, saying we will soon have a press, where all details will be divulged.”
Zain, who has done shows such as Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, Tashan-E-Ishq and Naamkarann, is satisfied with his career growth. “But this is just the start; I have many miles to go.” He also has big film plans. “I am working on myself to be a compete artist. For me, just brawns is not good enough. A true actor should be very versatile.”
One thing that separates Zain from others in the TV crowd is his humble nature. “I am very aware that you need to keep your head on your shoulders. Bad vibes cost you a lot of goodwill, which is essential to survive the long haul.”
