In today’s time, you seldom get unconditional love like Salim-Anarkali: Sonarika Bhadoria

Enchanting beauty Sonarika Bhadoria, who rose to fame with her portrayal of Goddess Parvati in Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, is all set to take audience by storm with her beauty and acting talent in Colors’ upcoming daily Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali.

Talking about playing the iconic role, she says, “Anarkali is a fictitious character. However, I feel every character that we get into is challenging for an actor. Anarkali is also one of them. Love stories attract everybody at any given point. I am sure audience will definitely like the show.”

When we ask being compared with legendary actress Madhubala, she shares, “For me Madhubalaji is untouchable. She was from another world for me. Just the mere mention of her name is everything. You can’t even talk about her.”

Sonarika says she has been working hard to get the nuances of the character right: “There is a lot of mystique when it comes to depicting a strong character like Anarkali. I have been taking Kathak lessons to get the nuances of the character. I have only trained for 15 days. I will be working hard to get it perfect.”

So what does love mean to her? “I am a hopeless incurably romantic. I have grown up on Wuthering Heights, The Bridges of Madison County and watching Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain. However, in today’s time that level of love is rarely found. You seldom get unconditional love in current times.”

Commenting on working with Shaheer, she adds, “I heard good things about Shaheer and about him being a great actor so I was very excited to get associated with him.”

On an end note, she says, “There have been a lot of comparisons but this show is a fresh take on love story. We have got beautiful sets and people on-board so audience should watch the daily as we are bringing something new to the table.”

Good luck girl!
