Young and talented actress Sayli Salunkhe, who is entertaining the masses as Drishti in Colors TV’s popular show Spy Bahu, is glad to be a part of the cast of the show. “Spy Bahu is an amazing show. Not only the story but also the cast is fantastic. All my brothers, mom, and dad are all played by senior and experienced actors in the industry. I am grateful to be working with such an amazing team. I am enjoying working with this bunch and I can also call them my second family.”
Sayli revealed why she agreed to come on board for the show. She mentioned, “When I heard about the story, I just loved it. Also particularly when I learnt about my character I felt I should do it. The beautiful sibling bond between Yohan and Drishti is something that I personally loved. When I started shooting with Sehban, our scenes came out really well. Sehban, who plays my brother, helps me a lot when we shoot together.”
Commenting on enacting a physically challenging role, she added, “It was quite challenging. During the initial days of the shoot, there was a scene where I read a letter from my mom which was written by Sejal. In the scene, I used both my hands to read it. Nobody noticed that I was using my hands. Soon, I realized that I am handicapped and we shot again. However, now it has been five months so I am used to it. In fact, now when I go for other auditions I forget that I am not Drishti. (laughs).”
On an endnote, Sayli revealed her dream role. “I myself don’t want to pick and choose the genre that I want to do. In fact, I just want to do good roles which come my way. Be it on any platform, TV, web, film, or theater. Whatever role I get I will give my best to it. Having said that, I would like to play a lead role in my acting career soon. Also, I think this wish will be fulfilled soon as I am in talks for the same.”
