Versatile actor Ssanjay Sswaraaj is putting his years of experience into play in the role of Naveen in Balaji Telefilms’ recently launched show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay on Star Plus.
As we know, Ssanjay plays Naveen, the obsessed brother of Mohini Basu (Shubhavi Choksey).
Says Ssanjay, “I have always wanted to work with Ekta Kapoor. All my friends and colleagues from the industry have worked with Balaji Telefilms, but I had not got the opportunity to be part of the family. This role came at a time when I wanted to do something different. I am using all my experience as an actor in this role. I wanted to do a role which will put my theatre knowledge into play and show how skilful I am as an actor.”
Ssanjay was recently seen in shows Naamkarann and Jamai Raja.
“I am happy that I have bagged this role of Naveen which has many shades. I feel fortunate that Ekta and the channel found me apt to play the character. Surely, a lot of thought must have gone into casting the right actors for this huge show,” he adds.
Talking about Naveen’s sadistic histrionics and the dirty way in which he looks at Prerna (Erica Fernandes), Ssanjay avers, “This role has shaken the actor in me. It is such a wonderful feeling to play with the role, keeping in mind the taste of TV viewers, especially the ladies watching the show. There is a very thin and fine line that I need to maintain as an actor. The guy teases, molests and has a dirty eye, but I have to play it in a way where I don’t make his intentions very clear. The actual emotions of Naveen are hidden even while he behaves indecently. So speaking about the challenges, every scene I shoot for as Naveen is a challenge. So I am enjoying my stint.”
Ask him what viewers can expect from Naveen in the near future and he states, “Viewers can get lot of entertainment in the story. Naveen will be doing all the sleazy stuff being with his limits. He is a mixed bag of emotions, is what I can say. This track shows how guys who have an obsessive psycho behaviour can go to any extent to get what they desire for.”
Way to go, Ssanjay!!Continue your great work…
