Shubhangi Atre gets candid about Angoori Bhabi, work-life balance and her beloved Jhumkas

It is very important to be on top of your game but while doing so, it is also essential to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Keeping this thought in mind, sharing her interesting take on life and the challenges that come with it is our very own Shubhangi Atre aka Angoori Bhabi of &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. Shubhangi who effortlessly essays the role of the iconic Angoori Bhabi gets candid about her on the spot improvisation that saves her time and enhances her skills. Shubhangi Atre says, “Very often when I am on shoot and come across interesting words that Angoori has to say, I automatically start thinking like her and the ideas flow right out. This way I not only think on my feet, but also get to give in my own inputs, which brings adds a natural essence to my character of Angoori.

To further add a personal touch to her beloved character, Shubhangi owns a collection of over 600 jhumkas that have each made an appearance on screen. “When I started shooting for &TV’s Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, the love for earrings became a fetish and, I started collecting new pieces that I handpicked on my trips in and around India. A major chunk of it is kundan,I absolutely adore the intricate designs used in it and also love the tiny ghungaroos attached to it. The personal touch that the jhumkas give my character for me, is a beautiful way of showing Shubhangi’s taste through Angoori. ” adds Shubhangi.

In the midst of all work, and no play our Bhabi takes up to yoga too, Shubhangi ends by saying, “If my body doesn’t feel good then my performance automatically suffers, therefore I make sure that I follow a yoga routine to de-stress from the daily tasks. I also get the me time I need and time to introspect and focus on my day as well.”
