Anjum Fakih the amazingly talented actor has been enjoying her journey with Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya, in the role of Srishti. The role has made her a household name and is getting all the love from her fans.

Srishti is loved for her never-say-die attitude and for being always helpful to Preeta.

In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Anjum talks about the way in which her character has progressed in the show, on her new interests during the lockdown and much more.

Excerpts:

How do you keep yourself in a positive frame of mind amid the pandemic scare? 

I think surrounding yourself with people who make you smile is very important. Also, take up that one thing that you always wanted to do, a hobby or learn a skill, that way you are preoccupied with the things you love and there is always positivity around you.

How is it to shoot away from Mumbai and family?

I am missing home and family and home-cooked food. However, we have been so busy shooting over here that we don’t have the time to think about anything else. The experience has been good so far, all thanks to the team for making us feel comfortable away from home and our set.

Viewers look forward to more of Srishti and Sameer, probably their marriage. What do you tell your fans? 

I am glad that the fans love Shrishmeer. Thank you for showering us with so much love and accepting our pairing with open arms. I would like to tell our fans that ‘Sabr Ka Phal Meetha Hota Hai’ and there are wonderful things planned for the characters. Just keep on watching Kundali Bhagya and shower us with your love.

Are you satisfied with the growth that your character has seen recently?

Srishti’s character has made me a household name. I am known as Srishti Arora. This character has given me so much recognition and the satisfaction to perform as an actor, that I couldn’t have asked for anything more. So yes, I am satisfied with the way Srishti has shaped up in the show and I hope she keeps on entertaining her fans.

As an actor what are your goals to better yourself?

I think as an artist our only goal is to perform better and outperform ourselves. I always strive to better my performance and I think that’s my goal as an actor. To be a better version of my old self!!

Any dream role that you have?

Not a dream role exactly, but it is my dream to work in an Anurag Kashyap movie.

What has been your new passion or interests during the lockdown?

To be very honest, I prefer spending time with myself and throughout the lockdown, I have been just doing that. There are a lot of things that I have discovered about myself during this phase.

Are you game for more work on the web? What are the kinds of roles you will explore?

I have done two web series and I think the web is a very promising medium. I am open to exploring different kinds of roles and challenge myself with something unexpected.

The ratings of Kundali Bhagya have dipped. Do you think you can bounce back to the top?

We as a team put in a lot of effort and work really hard to entertain our fans. I am sure we will bounce back because we have such wonderful and supporting fans.
