Sangita Ghosh is a renowned name in the television industry. The actress, who is better known for her role of Pammi in the television serial Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, has returned to TV after two years with Colors’ latest offering Swaran Ghar produced by TV actors Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey’s Dreamiyata Entertainment.
Sangita plays the role of Swaran in the story. It revolves around the life of a middle-aged woman Swaran (played by Sangita Ghosh) and her husband Kanwaljeet (played by Ronit Bose Roy) whose lives are shattered as they get unceremoniously abandoned by their children.
Commenting on fans’ responses to her comeback, she said, “When the promos of the shows were released, fans were very happy. They accepted it really well hence I was a little nervous. However, our motive is to entertain the masses via our relatable storyline. Although it is not an out-of-the-world story. Having said that, the simple love story of Swaran and Kanwal will definitely touch fans’ hearts. We have made the show with all our love. I call it the ‘labour of love’. So, I hope all viewers become a part of this unforgettable venture.”
Further, talking about the role and the show, she added, “Whenever I have taken up any role, my fans have always supported me. Be it positive or negative, they have loved my characters. After doing a few negative roles, I felt monotonous. Hence, when Sargun (Mehta) narrated the story, I couldn’t say no. Swaran Ghar is a very special story. Swaran’s character is very close to my heart. My character has various shades to it- she is a devoted mother, wife, and moreover a strong individual. I am thrilled to be working on the show.”
