Television is a completely new and interesting world for me: Anamika Tiwari

Anamika Tiwari who essays the role of Tabassum in Star Bharat’s Musakaan gets into a conversation with IWMBuzz.com

It was a brand new territory for theatre artist Anamika Tiwari when she stepped into the TV arena for the show Musakaan on Star Bharat. Anamika who is a NSD pass out has been actively involved in theatre for a long time. But the passion and interest of facing the camera brought her to Mumbai in the year 2017.

The role of the brothel owner, Tabassum in Musakaan has been the cherry on the cake for Anamika. She has been delivering a powerful performance in the show.

Says Anamika on her Musakaan journey, “I have never faced camera before. TV involves a different acting style wherein you see a certain amount of freedom as well as limitations too. TV is a completely new and interesting world for me.”

“For a newcomer, I got the best role possible, is what I will say. Tabassum is such a strong, assertive and powerful personality. She was a lady with a soft heart initially, but when Aarti ditched her, she got really tough on her. She decided to call the shots for Aarti and her daughter Musakaan from that day onwards,” she adds.

Anamika is happy sharing screen space with seasoned actor Ssharad Malhotra and with Yesha Rughani. “It is so overwhelming to shoot with a person like Ssharad. He is so supportive, especially to a newcomer like me. I enjoy the professional give and take on the sets of Musakaan.”

The talented artist finds all the mediums – TV, films, web and theatre to be very interesting and different. “Whatever the medium offered, I will give my best as an actor. After gaining name on TV, I really hope I get a bigger crowd for my plays. Otherwise, the interest for theatre in India is very less. Coming back to TV, I am really enjoying this phase. I want to do it again and again, if I am offered good roles. More than anything else, I will want to thank Rashmi Sharma’s team for being very good towards actors who are really new to the ambience.”

Keep up your best work, Anamika!!
