Rakshanda Khan, who has had a flourishing career with a vast body of work on television which includes Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasamh Se, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Phulwa, Bade Achche Laggte Hai, Brahmarakshas, Naagin, etc, is all set to entertain masses in a royal avatar.
Rakshanda will be seen playing the role of Jaya Maa in Zee TV’s recently launched new show named Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na produced by Dome Of Entertainment. Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na, a fairytale romance where the universe manifests a girl’s most deeply cherished dream of being swept off her feet by her Prince Charming.
She shares, “I believe when you are starting a new journey it is always very exciting. There is so much to look forward to like new clothes, new people, new set. I have never been part of a royal hence it is very exciting for me. I would request fans to watch the show as it is not a regular run-of-the-mill show.”
Rakshanda further adds about her character, “Jaya Maa is very polished with a royal demeanor and someone who upholds the traditions of the royal family while having a brilliant business-oriented mind too. She has a lot of layers to her. I am not a royal member myself hence I have to think fictionally and act accordingly. I have to think how a royal person would carry herself and would talk. I am blessed we have a good director who has been very helpful.”
Talking about the changes in the industry so far, she mentions, “I believe now things have streamlined. Earlier if they wanted us to shoot for 24 or 36 hours, we used to work. Nowadays no one does that including the lead actors. I feel it is good as there is a life out of the set also. We need to have a personal life too.”
