The biggest challenge in playing Ishqbaaz’ Mannat is that she is overbubbly: Niti Taylor

Gorgeous looking actress Niti Taylor has pleased her fans by picking up a role that she has not attempted before with Star Plus’ popular show, Ishqbaaz: Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak Kahani produced by Gul Khan’s 4 Lions Films.

Playing the new lead, Mannat Kaur Khurana opposite Nakkul Mehta does not come easy for Niti.

Says Niti on her character, “Mannat is a fun-loving girl. She is very high on energy all the time and is very thoughtful and helpful. She is extra-bubbly and has the entire world on her bike. She has this habit of wearing lots of rubber bands on her wrists. Her food habits are weird. She likes to have Maggi Noodles with Strawberry Ice Cream and chocolate with salt etc.”

Working with Nakuul Mehta and the cast and crew of Ishqbaaz is real fun for Niti. “Ishqbaaz as a show offers me a lot as an actor. I get to do a lot of things which I haven’t explored earlier. The character in itself is very challenging. The show offers a lot as an actor for me. I get to do a lot of things which I haven’t explored earlier. The character is very challenging. The biggest challenge is that Mannat is over bubbly and I have never done such a role before.”

Ask her whether she was not apprehensive of stepping in as lead after the good run of Surbhi Chandna who garnered huge fan following and Niti states, “The old cast cannot be replaced. The work that the actors have done in Ishqbaaaz till now is really pure. I am now given the opportunity to add something different to the plate. I wish and hope that I get appreciated for my work.”

Niti as part of preparing for her character takes Hindi classes to get her diction and vocabulary right. “Mannat loves her shayaris and I had to work on getting my Hindi right. Yes, it is tough to learn the shayaris but learning new stuff is always fun. So I have a tutor who comes to the set everyday to fine-tune me in my Hindi diction. I have benefitted a lot out of this learning.”

Niti recently had an abdominal surgery after an internal bleeding. Ask her about her health condition and she is quick to say, “Well, I had been advised rest for six weeks. But I got to shoot earlier as I am passionate about work. Well, I get tired really fast. But I guess I am doing fine. I am overall a strong personality.”

Niti personally enjoys the scenes that aired recently wherein Mannat gets into a trance upon seeing Shivaansh. “I got star-struck on seeing the scenes where Mannat gets into her big fan moments. I hope viewers liked these scenes that have been aired.”

On her expectations from the show, Niti tells us, “Well, the idea for me is to do good work and get appreciated for the hard work I put in. Otherwise, I have no expectations as I have been taught that expectations lead us somewhere else. I believe in doing my best in whatever I have in hand. At the end of it, I hope and pray that I get successful.”

Lastly, Niti has a cute message for her fans. “Keep loving and supporting me. This is a big show for me. And I am putting in my best and enjoying the stint too.”

Way to go, girl!!
